When I was little, I ask my mom where do I come from, or how does a baby came. My mom told me it was magic or if I'm not mistaken the angel came and put me at the door. The first book I ever read as I remember was maybe about Jack and Beanstalk, and Smurf, the Flinstone and Scooby-Doo was my fovourite TV show.
That was how I was brought up. I guess I was not alone and most of the kids during my time grew up like that and experience the same thing, and I guess kids nowadays also, except that they are more advance with, PSP and PS 3, 4 or 5 that is.
We were raised by 'lazy' parents. Why I said 'lazy' is because, growing up we have a lot of shit to ask. It is true, I remember I was an 'asking machine', and I would ask everything about anything. So, to minimize that, I guess my mom would put me in front of the TV , and 'fascinate' me with the cartoons, so I keep my mouth shut.
Ironically, the same practice repeated when I am an adult, not by my parent, but the government or perhaps the people around me. Instead of talking about the reality of things happening. They would feed you with some story, does not matter whether it is nice or bad or true or false, just something for us to read and take us off from the reality, like some politician sex scandal(that's always nice to read and never gets old),
Iphone newest model, more woman with much lesser cloth on TV, the world is going to end at 2012, we've kill Osama, but no picture because its too gory(isn't killing is gory at the first place?) or some similar crap like that.
I guess we can't blame them. It is just how we were raise and not our parents even, because that is how they were raise...
Time to change maybe?
